Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using SpeakRight, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or use SpeakRight.

2. Description of Service

SpeakRight is an AI-powered interview preparation tool. It generates practice interview questions, records and transcribes your spoken answers, and provides AI-generated feedback and coaching to help you prepare for job interviews.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Upload content that is offensive, abusive, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its AI systems.
• Share your account credentials with others or use another person's account without permission.
• Use automated tools to create accounts or generate excessive practice sessions.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

• SpeakRight offers a free plan (4 sessions per month, 2 retries per question, 3-minute recording limit) and a Pro plan billed at $10/month (unlimited sessions, 5 retries per question, 5-minute recording limit, AI voice coaching, and score tracking).
• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds are provided for unused time.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

SpeakRight uses artificial intelligence (including OpenAI and Anthropic models) to generate interview questions, transcribe audio, and provide feedback and suggested answers. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, may not reflect the actual interview process or questions used by any specific company, and is provided for practice purposes only. You should use your own judgment when relying on AI feedback or suggested answers.

6. No Guarantee of Outcomes

SpeakRight is a practice and preparation tool. We do not guarantee that using SpeakRight will result in receiving a job offer, passing an interview, or achieving any specific outcome. Your results depend on many factors outside of our control.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of any resume, recordings, or other content you upload. By using SpeakRight, you grant us a limited license to process this content (including via third-party AI providers) solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account, which permanently removes your data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

SpeakRight is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakRight and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any reliance on AI-generated feedback or suggested answers.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SpeakRight shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
